Turn your Dualit Classic Toaster into a toastie maker with the Classic Sandwich Cage. Made from stainless steel, the cage holds the bread and filling together as it is lowered into the toaster slot. A built-in drip tray helps catch melted cheese and other fillings, while the heatproof handles make the cage easy to insert and remove.

To make a toasted sandwich, place your filling between two medium slices of bread, lightly butter the outsides and close the sandwich firmly inside the cage. Avoid overfilling, as thinner, evenly spread ingredients will warm more consistently. The cage allows you to prepare a hot toastie in your existing toaster, without needing a separate sandwich maker on the worktop.

It is also useful for smaller items that can be difficult to retrieve from a toaster, including crumpets, muffins, teacakes, bagels and small bread rolls. The cage provides a secure way to lower, check and remove them.
